Barclays Transaction Limit with Instant Bank Transfer

If you’re creating an Instant Bank Transfer payment using your Barclays account, you may experience an issue if your transaction is over £2,000 and this is the first time you have sent money to the Philippines with us.

What’s the new “Instant Bank Transfer” payment option?

Instant Bank Transfer is a new payment option available only to our UK customers. This is now the fastest and easiest way to pay for your transactions with us.

How much money can I send?

The amount of money you can send may vary depending on the country you're sending from.

How can my beneficiary receive the money?

You have three options. You can credit the money directly to your beneficiary’s bank account (any bank in the Philippines), deliver the money to your beneficiary’s doorsteps, or have your beneficiary collect the money from our various cash pick-up outlets/partners.

How long does it take for the beneficiary to receive payment?

This can vary on a number of factors, but we often see transactions below ₱50,000 received within 1 hour and above ₱50,000 received within 25 hours.

How can I get updates on the exchange rate?

You can check the exchange rate in real time through the website at www.kabayanremit.com or through our free mobile app. Please note that the exchange rate usually changes every 12pm and 8pm UK Time.

Can I pay by credit card?

No. We currently accept debit card payments only. Please note that we only accept personal debit cards. We do not accept business debit cards or prepaid debit cards.

Can I pay by debit card?

Yes. We accept debit card payments or online bank transfer. Please note that we don’t accept credit card payments.

How do I top up a GCash or Paymaya account?

You can top up your loved ones' Globe GCash or Smart Paymaya e-wallets online by logging in to your account on the website or mobile up. Once logged in, follow this step-by-step guide:

Yes, you can view all of your transaction history in the mobile app or web app. You can also view the payment status of each transaction.
